Summer Missions Trips

We’ve realized that we will never fulfill the Great Commission without using one of the Kingdom of God’s greatest resources: children and families. Awesome Adventure offers opportunities for children in 5th and 6th grades (and their parents) to participate in short-term mission trips each summer.

altWe are convinced that mission trips are a wonderful tool for the Lord to use to direct children in His will for their lives, not to mention the meaningful ministry we can have to children and families in other parts of the world. Our trips are announced in Oct/Nov of the prior year, at which time potential participants must complete an application packet and an interview with the team leader in order to join the team.

altOnce the participants have been selected and notified, the training process begins. Awesome Adventure mission trips involve 7-8 months of extensive cross-cultural preparation and training for many ministry opportunities including: Bible stories, salvation testimonies, puppet shows, skits, songs, games, language activities, and crafts that the team will present in various settings.

If you are interested in further investigating one of our future mission trips, please contact Tim Ryan tryan@westshorefree.org or Terry Allison tallison@westshorefree.org

Camp Awesome Adventure (Day Camp)
This program has been cancelled for summer 2009.

Overnight Camps
Although there are many excellent summer christian camps in the region to choose from, we recommend
Camp Orchard Hill and Camp Hebron due to the quality of their programs and the relationship we have developed with these two particular camps over the years.
