Special EventsCamps and retreats are provided throughout the year and are often the place where students make major spiritual decisions. From the ski slopes in the winter to the beach in the summer, these experience are extremely popular for students.
Harvey Cedars – This is our annual summer camp on Long Beach Island. We join other churches in fun in the sun, awesome worship, great teaching and incredible opportunities for youth group based spiritual development. By far we have seen our best spiritual momentum come out of these weeks. It is a great camp for both outreach and growth. Mission trips are becoming more of a centerpiece of our ministry. They are life changing because we are helping students learn to give their life away to others. We have taken students to projects both in the United States and abroad. Some of the areas that we have worked in over the last few years include: Mexico, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Bosnia and Louisiana. Missions Conference/Becoming an Externally Focused Church - On Sunday, March 8th, 2009 we will be presenting an exciting opportunity for our church to become better equipped to reach out to our local communities. |
