Worship Services

Our worship services are held at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the sanctuary on the upper level of our building. An elevator enables the sanctuary to be handicap accessible from both the upper and lower parking lots.

Music
Our music is a blend of both hymns and contemporary, modern worship songs that are expressed in a joyful worship style. Occasionally our services also include a musical selection from our Adult Choir or our Kidz 4 Him Children's Choir.

Worship Service Specifics
Both worship services on Sunday morning are identical. Typically, a West Shore worship service begins with an opening song and a few words of welcome from our pastoral staff. As we continue to worship in song you are invited to stand and sing, but you are welcome to sit if that is more comfortable for you.  After being seated, the congregation is led in prayer by the pastoral staff, followed by a musical selection from the worship team while our tithes and offerings are received.

If you are a visitor, we encourage you to fill out the Welcome card in the seat pocket in front of you. It is one way of letting us know that you worshipped with us. Please do not feel obligated to give as the offering plate is passed, but rather to receive the service as our gift to you. After worshipping through the giving of our tithes and offerings, we are blessed by a challenging message from God's Word. Following the sermon we end our worship service with a short closing and a worship song before being dismissed.

For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The 1st Service (9:00-10:15 a.m.) is interpreted in sign language for the deaf and hard of hearing. An area in the central portion of the stadium seating has been reserved for those needing sign interpretation as well as for their family and friends. Interpretation can also be arranged upon request for the 2nd Service by contacting the church office at office@westshorefree.org by the Thursday before it is needed.

Newcomers
We invite you to our
Welcome Center located in the main lobby by the sitting area across from Coffee Central. You will find friendly folks there to greet you after both services. This is a wonderful place for you to ask questions and find out more about our church. We also have a small gift to give you as our way of saying, "thank you for joining us today."

If you are interested in learning more about West Shore, we invite you to attend the Connections Class. It is a five-week series that will give you a deeper understanding of our church and explain opportunities to connect with others and become involved in serving. Since each session is a "stand alone" topic, you may start any week. The class is held about every other month during the second service. The dates for the upcoming series are listed in the bulletin. We'd be delighted to have you connect with us!
