Caring Closet
Since the 1980s, the Caring Closet has been serving our neighbors who struggle financially.  The ministry provides free, donated clothing and shoes to hundreds of people each month.  Contributions and volunteers are always welcomed by Geneva Ziegler.  More …

Crisis Pregnancy
Our church supports the work of the Capital Area Pregnancy Centers, which provides confidential and non-judgmental counseling and support for pregnant and other individuals on all aspects of pregnancy, including the procedures, risks, and recovery of pregnancy termination.  If this is an area of concern and ministry for you, please call the main office at (717) 761-4411 or (717) 241-5510. 

Disaster Relief
WSEFC has an ongoing ministry to those who suffered losses from the major hurricanes that hit Louisiana and Texas.  For information about Disaster Relief please contact Terry Fisher at 717-728-7403.

Divorce Care
Divorce Care provides a sensitive, support group to help individuals recover from the emotional pain and isolation of separation or divorce.   There is also a special group, DivorceCare 4 Kids, that connects youngsters in weekly meetings with other youngsters who are hurting from the separation or divorce of their parents and need understanding friends.  For more information please contact Pastor Ken Thompson (717-379-2777).

Free!
Free! is a special member ministry of Exodus International that equips Christians to act as a channel of God’s power and grace to those dealing with homosexuality.  The group consults with and advises a wide range of individuals and groups on how to address this difficult issue.  Email Gene and Emily Chase at chase@messiah.edu, or call the church office (697-0226) to leave a message for them.  More …

Funerals
The staff of West Shore wants to make this difficult time of grief less lonely and overwhelming by assisting in funeral services for our members and their families.  They are available to answer questions about death and life after death.  They also offer support to families and individuals during this trying time.  Please contact Pastor Ken Thompson for assistance: (697-0226) or kthompson@westshorefree.org.

Habitat for Humanity

This Christian housing ministry is determined to eliminate poverty housing and provide for those who lack proper shelter.  Habitat blends the skills of volunteers and donor resources to rehab and sell homes with no-interest mortgages to those in need.  For more information please contact Brian Mains.  More …
 
Health Ministry

Joy with Dogs

The New Beginnings Fellowship group involves “wounded healers” of all ages and both genders who are hurt by past or present issues of, for example, depression, chronic health problems, and the loss of a relative, friend, job, or spouse.  More …

Phone Care
A group of caring individuals in the church consider it a privilege to keep in touch with members of the church family by calling them periodically to encourage and pray with them.  Where a need exists, they offer to arrange for a visit or call from a member of the Pastoral Care Team. If you'd like to be part of the Phone Care ministry one evening a month, please contact Frank Waardenburg.

Silent Blessings
If you need or are aware of someone less fortunate who needs help with clothing, baby supplies, or other support, please contact Becky Fair.

Visitation and Meals
The Caring Ministry Team reaches out to the sick, the hospitalized, and those in area nursing care, retirement facilities, or rehab hospitals through visitations and support with meals during difficult times.  Call Pastor Ken Thompson (717-379-2777) or Jewell Fink (717-697-0226) to let them know how they can support you
